PD (1)  1. Parsons & McKinnon’s FINLAS AT CLAONAIGLEN. What a smart boy. Super head, eye and front, elegant neck.  I would say he has one of the best expressions I have seen.  Coat is correct. He moves very well.  Best Puppy.

PGD (5, 1)  1. Lewis’ LUCKHURST NAIRN. A hound of good quality, loved his head and expression. Nice neck and front, correct feet, good coat. Won this class on his true type. Moved well
2.  Merrick’s PEDLARSPATH SECRET STAR. This boy is big. Would like a better head, but his conformation is correct and he is a very good mover.

LD (2). 1. Helps’ BEARDSWOOD QUINLAN. I liked this hound for his overall type. Lovely head and eye, good neck and front. Good depth of brisket. Strong loin, excellent hindquarters. Moved with drive.
2. Schaanning Ling’s BEARDSWOOD QUIVER. Brother to above, a hound with a good outline. He has too much coat that make him look cloddy. Dare I say a little finger & thumb would improve his appearance.

OD (3). Morton & Morgan’s CH.COTHERSTONE SHOT AND STEEL ShCM. Excellent hound. Super head, dark eye, good ears, super front and bone. His outline is perfection. Very sound mover with great drive. Presentation excellent. CC & BOB.
2.  Bauman’s LUX CH.REGALFLIGHT TARLOCH. A lighter colour than winner. He is a beautiful hound and looks as if he could run. Built on very racy lines. Great mover. Liked him a lot. Res CC.

VB (1). 1. Williams’ CH.WITCH WAY TO KILBOURNE. What a lovely hound she is. Very smart girl with a super head. You can see why she is a champion, so full of quality. Just lethargic on the move.

MPB (3). 1. Quinn’s ARACETA BUTTERFLY. Very promising young hound, we are not all together yet but with maturity I am sure she will be OK. Beautiful head, neck and shoulder. Good length, excellent hind quarters. Best Puppy bitch.
2. Owen & Brodie’s WOLFSCASTLE CRACKER. Another raw baby. Loved her head, she is also very promising. 3 puppies in this class, all different types.

PB (1). 1. Lindsay’s CELTICMOON SHADOW MAGIC. This young hound has a lovely head, neck and topline. She needs a lot of work and training, then she will move better.

JB (4,1). 1. Paisey’s GREYFLAX MY GIRL. Excellent type. Lovely head & neck, good front and shoulder. She has a perfect coat. Her movement is so correct. A lovely hound.
2. Bailey’s GREYFLAX SUMMER BREEZE. Litter sister to winner She also has a lovely head, good neck and shoulder. Excellent topline. A bit taller than her sister. Very good mover.

PGB (6,4). 1 Grimshaw’s LODHAINN BENNBEHEULA TO JAMALISON. This hound has an excellent topline, nice head and eye, good neck and front. Correct depth of chest, good coat. Moved very well. She is very smart.
2. Wilbraham’s ARDLANCIEN ELONA. Finer type all through, but a quality hound. Nice head, good neck and shoulder. Very good hindquarters. Moved well. Two very nice hounds.

LB (3). 1.Helps’ BEARDSWOOD QUINTESSENCE. Very houndy girl. Super head, neck and shoulder along with a perfect front. She has a super outline, strong hind quarters. She is such a good mover.  Res CC.
2. Parsons & McKinnon’s CLAONAIGLEN BUIE. Loved her head. She is a good honest hound, very good conformation and outline. Very smart mover.

OB (5,1). 1. Morton & Morgan’s CH.COTHERSTONE DUCHENNE. Strong hound. Super head and expression. Strong arched neck. Perfect front and shoulder, good depth of brisket. Strong firm loin. Excellent hindquarters. Great mover. Would like her finer. Bitch CC.
2. Bailey’s GREYFLAX JUST PEACHY. This girl is much finer, in fact would like more strength in muzzle. She is a quality hound and a lovely mover.

Thanks to my stewards for the way they ran the ring. Since I last judged the breed the true type is varied. In a class of 3, they were all different. In most classes this was the norm. A number of hounds were under-weight. Some had no muscle. In some cases movement was all over the place. Sorry to be so blunt, but it is true.
